Bell ID Appoints David Worthington as Payments Consultant

22 March 2011 (Rotterdam, The Netherlands) - Bell ID, a leading smart token management solution provider, today announced the expansion of its team with the appointment of David Worthington as Principal Consultant, Payments and Chip Technology.

Reporting to the CEO, David will advise Bell ID and major clients on strategic opportunities in the application of new payments, mobile and chip technologies.

With over 18 years’ smart card and payments experience, David joins Bell ID from Aconite where he led a team of consultants responsible for advising clients on EMV migration, and exploiting new payment and smart token technologies. During this time he acquired significant expertise in contributing to EMV product and partner strategies worldwide and has previously worked with Bell ID on joint projects in the Middle East and North America.

David has also worked in senior management roles for HSBC, NatWest, Mondex International, Keycorp EMEA, and as the Advisor for Banking Technology to the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency.  These positions have covered strategic consulting, IT programme management, business development and service delivery roles.
